The story Ledston Luck: Fourth in the gripping CSI crime series (CSI Eddie Collins Book 4) by Andrew Barrett is a thrilling mystery book. A booby-trapped body is found in a long-abandoned chapel. During the crime scene examination, something goes horribly wrong. CSI Eddie Collins and DI Benson are injured and a member of the team is killed. Eddie is heartbroken and guilt-ridden, he is also angry.
What an amazing story! From the very first chapter, it pulls you in and just won’t let go until the end. The story is a journey through a dark world to find those responsible for placing a body in the chapel and to bring them to justice. I love mysteries and this book certainly fits that type of story. The story also describes some scenes that I would re-read saying “that didn’t just happen, did it?” CSI Eddie Collins is a wonderful character. He is like a bulldog, once he gets a case he will not let go, for anything. He believes in getting the murderer and will do anything to make that happen, even go against those in his own department when he feels that they are hindering the investigation. This is the first book I have read in this series and now I will be going back and reading the previous books. The author has a way of writing that will leave you breathless. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves thrilling mysteries. There are quite a few disturbing scenes detailed in this book so I would suggest for a mature audience. I was provided a copy of this book and voluntarily reviewed it.

Book four and last published of the CSI Eddie Collins series by Andrew Barrett. I hope it is not the final book, but that the series will continue. If it is, it is a worthy last book because I think it may be my favorite. The suspenseful action and character development are superb.
Eddie Collins is a CSI that has a knack of seeing clues other miss. Although I can't imagine anyone using the language he does on the job, he still does the investigating and figures out what happened. As a reader, if you think you've figured out the outcome you will be surprised. Well worth reading.
Ledston Luck, this further experience of Eddie, CSI, is truly an excellent book. It's the first one I've read of the series, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I liked the humorous sarcasm of Eddie whether intended as humorous or not, certainly not be Eddie. The tale is a true mystery with twists right up to the end. This is certainly one of the best books I've read in a long time, and I've read quite a lot.
I like the setting in England and the main character is engaging. Some of the book is not as well developed as others which caused me to lose interest but as I continued I got back into the story. I will continue to watch this series to see what happens.
I couldn't put it down. A sad and twitted tale of abuse, next, and evil prevailing because a copper did nothing. Along with the issues of politics mixing with police work and colleagues working against each other instead of with each other. It was artfully written, so that the ending answered most of the questions, but not all as in reality. Really terrific book, I lost a good nights sleep to finish it.
The only thing I hate about this book is that I just finished it and there isn't a book 5 in this Eddie Collins series (not yet anyway)! I am so hopeful that there will be a book 5, 6, 7, 10, 20.... well you get my point! Andrew Barrett is now one of my all time favorite authors and Eddie Collins is one of my favorite characters! Barrett strings along little bits of the puzzle throughout the story, and even when you start to see the big picture, he holds back a few of the pieces to surprise you in the end! Love this series so very much! Please write more!
This is the first book I've read in this series. At first, I wasn't sure I liked Eddie very much, but it didn't take long to start appreciating him. This book has great characters, a suspenseful story, and a couple surprises. It's an excellent, thought-provoking book. Don't miss it!!
